My client is an UK public company with a market capitalisation of GBP3.4bn. It is engaged in engineering businesses across the globe. With a long history, the Company operates through three divisions: Minerals, Oil  & Gas, and Flow Control.The Minerals Division is the largest and is engaged in the provision of slurry handling equipment and associated aftermarket support for abrasive high wear applications used in the mining and oil sands markets.
The Minerals Division operates across the following Regions - Africa and Middle East, North America, South America, Europe, and Asia Pacific

Minimum Qualifications:
Qualified CA or CIA
 
Minimum Experience:
 3 to 5 Years related experience in a similar function
ERP system experience (preferably BAAN)
Computer literacy (MS Office Suite) – excellent working knowledge of Excel
Proficient in ACL (Non Negotiable)
 
Key Tasks:
Scoping and planning audit engagements
Process analysis, risk and control assessment reviews
Fieldwork which entails developing an audit program and carrying out detailed reviews as well as key
controls and substantive audit testing
Developing pragmatic recommendations/solutions in conjunction with management and identifying best
practice as well as appropriate controls to improve the control environment
Writing reports including communicating findings to senior management
Assisting with regular and occasional reporting to the Group Risk and Compliance Committee and Audit
Committee
Work on Group Internal Audit Projects for purposes of determining and sharing best practice
Expanding use of ACL software for monitoring and integration into internal audit process
Monitoring and follow up to ensure the implementation of corrective actions to address control
weaknesses
Develop business acumen and operational knowledge
Assisting in promoting risk awareness throughout the Group
Adhere to all HSE and housekeeping requirements
Adhere to Duty of Care Policy at all times
Assist with any ad hoc queries
 
Minimum Skills/Abilities:
Must be willing to travel
Analytical ability
Numerical fluency
Good problem solving skills
Knowledge of all financial processes, procedures and systems
